HLA Roadside Assistance

For the events of accidents, failures or other difficulties, we have prepared roadside assistance service ARCHER SHERIDAN Assistance (hereinafter "HLA") for you, which will be with you continuously, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, while driving across the Czech Republic or European countries*.

Immobile Vehicle

If your vehicle becomes immobile as a result of a failure, accident, driver's fault, or if your vehicle is stolen, HLA will organise and pay for:

  • on-site repair of the vehicle or
  • towing and subsequent repair at an authorised service centre (unless the vehicle can be repaired on the spot) or
  • courtesy vehicle or other alternative transport
  • accommodation if the repair takes longer than 4 hours, substitute driver if you are hospitalised (outside the Czech Republic)

When communicating with ARCHER SHERIDAN Assistance, please specify

  • your first name and surname
  • phone number on which you can be reached
  • brief description of your problem
  • location where you are
  • type, colour and number plate of your vehicle
  • your Lease Agreement number or FM Agreement number
  • VIN (vehicle identification number)

Immobile Vehicle

If your vehicle becomes immobile as a result of a failure, accident, driver's fault, or if your vehicle is stolen, HLA will organise and pay for:

  • on-site repair of the vehicle or
  • towing and subsequent repair at an authorised service centre (unless the vehicle can be repaired on the spot) or
  • courtesy vehicle or other alternative transport
  • accommodation if the repair takes longer than 4 hours
  • substitute driver if you are hospitalised (outside the Czech Republic)

On-site Repair

We will arrange the arrival and departure of roadside service personnel for you as well as the necessary repair of your vehicle to put it back on the road. We will reimburse reasonable costs, except the costs of buying and transporting spare parts, which shall be paid by you.

Towing to the Nearest Authorised Service Centre

Where an on-site repair is unsuitable, your vehicle will be towed to the nearest authorised service centre. HLA will reimburse the costs of loading, towing and unloading your vehicle.

Parking Fees

If services of a service centre cannot be used at the given moment, we will have your vehicle temporarily immobilised and kept in a safe location (including the reimbursement of parking fees for up to 5 days).

If the expected time of repair exceeds 4 hours or if your stolen vehicle has not been found within 4 hours, you are entitled to the following services to be organised and reimbursed for you:

Alternative Transport

We will reimburse the driver and other passengers for alternative transport to their place of residence or to other destination of their journey.

Lending a Courtesy Vehicle

We will arrange lending a courtesy vehicle for you for the duration of your repair of up to 5 days, including the possible placement of the vehicle to your location. Depending on local conditions, the category and equipment of the lent vehicle may differ from the your vehicle's parameters. HLA does not cover the costs of fuel, service fluids, motorway and other tolls, or costs of immobilising the vehicle.

Accommodation

If your vehicle becomes immobile or stolen at a distance greater than or equal to 50 km from your place of residence, we will reimburse you for your accommodation at a hotel for as long as your vehicle is being repaired. You may use this service concurrently with the services of alternative transport or lending a courtesy vehicle.

Loss of Keys

If you lose the keys to your vehicle, HLA will organise and pay for opening the door and, where applicable, replacing the lock or towing the vehicle to the nearest service centre. The price of a new lock and replacement keys shall be paid by the vehicle user.

Exhausted and Mistaken Fuel

Should fuel in the fuel tank be accidentally mistaken, by error or misunderstanding, or should the fuel be completely exhausted, HLA will take care of and pay for transporting the fuel to the vehicle location, emptying its fuel tank and transferring the fuel or, where appropriate, we will have the vehicle towed to the nearest service centre and pay for the towing. In any event, the price of the fuel shall be paid by the vehicle user.

Flat Tyre

HLA will organise and pay for the arrival of a mechanic and the replacement of the damaged tyre or wheel of your vehicle on the spot. Any further replacement wheel, tyre or other necessary material shall be paid from the vehicle user's own funds.

Dead Battery

Should the vehicle be immobile because of its failing battery, HLA will arrange and pay for the arrival and departure of roadside assistance personnel as well as the necessary repair to put the vehicle back on the road. The possible costs of buying a new battery or other necessary spare parts shall be paid by the user.

Vehicle Theft

Should your vehicle become stolen while you are en route, HLA will arrange and organise a one-night accommodation or will provide a courtesy vehicle or possibly transport to your destination or place of residence.

Legal Assistance Abroad

If criminal, administrative or other similar proceedings are being conducted against you, if you are arrested or held in custody, if you are at risk of judicial proceedings or imprisonment in relation to liability for damage inflicted by operating a vehicle, HLA will take care of and reimburse the costs of the possible legal assistance up to the amount of €1,000.

Financial Assistance Abroad

These funds will be paid out if they have been deposited by a third party into the HLA account or after ARCHER SHERIDAN's prior consent to a guarantee for the driver up to the amount of €3,000.

Notice

You will be required to pay the full amount for the assistance services provided if:

  • the damage occurred when the vehicle was failing to meet roadworthiness conditions in compliance with road traffic rules and manufacturer's instructions on using and servicing the vehicle
  • the driver fails to hold the relevant driving licence, or was driving under the influence of alcohol or other narcotic drugs, or refused to be tested for the presence of such substances
  • the damages occurred as a result of the driver's suicide
  • the vehicle was used for an automotive competition or race

* The assistance services are provided on the territory of the Czech Republic and on the geographical territory of Europe, including the European part of Turkey, except Belarus, Moldova, the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
